İstanbul Yeni Yüzyıl Üniversitesi is a foundation university founded in Istanbul by Law No. 5839 on February 19, 2009 by "Vatan Health and Education Foundation" (VASEV).
It was first established in 2009 with 10 faculties, 2 vocational schools and three institutes; In the 2010-2011-2010 academic year, the first students started education and training with 860 students in 7 faculties and 2 vocational schools.
Foundation Aim, Mission and Vision
Istanbul New Century University aims to bring the scientists who need the society to the country; aims to become a high education institution and a center of excellence connected with Atatürk's principles and reforms, aiming to educate young people who are knowledgeable, contemporary, equipped, experienced, helpful for gathering and researching.
Our university is in charge of educating the educated workforce at the level of associate degree, bachelor degree, master degree and doctorate degree in order to exceed the level of contemporary civilization in our country academically and technologically and to contribute to research and studies by taking into consideration the developments in the world. For this purpose, İstanbul New Century University is providing universal education in different disciplines in cooperation with stakeholders such as state institutions, private sector and non-governmental organizations and institutions with its experienced academic staff.
Our vision is to be a university that can train graduates sought in global level and to direct academic studies in publications and their field, and to be a center of excellence and a research and development institution sought for cooperation in all kinds of scientific activities.
Qualified Educational Staff
Since the establishment of our university, we have a strong domestic and foreign education staff who have made a name in the field with successful works. Education and training are carried out with a total of 553 academicians including 87 professors, 24 associate professors, 168 assistant professors, 181 instructors, 69 research assistants and 24 lecturers, both inside and outside the institution.
Possibility of Training in Different Disciplines
Our University; In 2017-2018, there are 10 faculties and 23 departments, one in health field, 25 programs in 2 vocational schools and 17 graduate and 2 doctoral programs in 3 graduate programs.
The language of instruction is Turkish except 3 departments. The Department of English Language and Literature and English Translation and Interpretation Department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of the Faculty of Health Sciences are British. In addition, students can read the English Preparatory Program on request.
